Merchants Bonding Company Foundation Announces 2025 Charity of Choice

The Merchants Bonding Company Foundation has selected its charity of choice for 2025 - the Children’s Cancer Connection. As the charity of choice, Children’s Cancer Connection will be the focus of Merchants’ associates’ volunteer and fundraising efforts throughout the year, highlighting Merchants’ commitment to giving back!
 
Located in Johnston, Iowa just miles from Merchants’ headquarters, Children’s Cancer Connection is dedicated to supporting Iowa families affected by childhood cancer. The organization fosters connections, encourages relationships, and strengthens community bonds for those navigating the challenges of a childhood cancer diagnosis.  
 
In 2023, Children’s Cancer Connection served over 800 families in Iowa, offering more than 60 programming opportunities throughout the year across three main pillars: hospital-based programs, support programs and outings, and Camp Heart Connections. Funds raised by Merchants Bonding Company in 2025 will help children and their families attend Camp Heart Connections, a program offering a supportive and enriching camp experience.
 
All of Children’s initiatives address the needs of the entire family throughout their journey with childhood cancer, recognizing the far-reaching impact of such diagnoses.
 
 
Evolving Our Giving Strategy
 
Since 2010, Merchants Bonding Company Foundation has hosted the biennial Bill Warner Sr. Memorial Charity Golf Classic, raising nearly $1 million for selected charities. Beginning in 2025, the Foundation will transition from hosting the golf tournament to focusing on providing a significant grant to its charity of choice, aiming to simplify efforts while making a bigger difference.  
 
Merchants Bonding Company has a long-standing tradition of giving back to its communities. Since the founding of the Merchants Bonding Company Foundation in 2008, the organization has donated over $3 million to charitable causes across the United States. Each year, the foundation selects a non-profit organization as its charity of choice, channeling resources and support to make a meaningful impact.
