WDMLA Alumni: Make Magic
Calling all WDM Leadership Academy Alumni! This year’s event theme is inspired by Brad Meltzer’s 2024 University of Michigan commencement address and his book, Make Magic, which speaks to four classic forms of magic:
- Make something appear
- Make something disappear
- Make two things switch places
- Change one thing into something else
Learn how you can apply these metaphors to your personal and professional journeys to become the best version of ourselves.
The program begins at 3:30 where we’ll explore these ideas through a blend of video, storytelling, and panel discussion. After viewing key clips from the speech, we’ll hear from a panel of alumni who will share how they’ve witnessed or created “magic” in their own careers. There will be time for audience Q&A and plenty of networking throughout.
